“Working for ClientEarth gives me a huge sense of hope. By combining law with science, and working with businesses, we will make a real difference to our seas at a time when action is critical.”

Katie Miller

Project Lead, Sustainable Seafood

Katie joined the London office in August 2012 to work on the Sustainable Seafood Coalition.

Prior to joining ClientEarth, Katie coordinated events for environmental NGO Green Alliance and worked on both fisheries and coral reefs in marine and freshwater conservation programmes at the Zoological Society of London.

After gaining a degree in zoology Katie went on to work in the SCUBA diving industry in Europe and Africa, getting a daily reminder of the state of our seas. She returned to London in 2009 to obtain a Masters in Conservation focusing on aquatic invasive species, then joined the Department for International Development as a communications officer. This sparked her interest in the competing pressures of conservation and humanity’s need for natural resources; since then she has worked with a variety of organisations to engage them on the importance of sustainably sourced seafood.
