Jonathan D. Kaufelt is a private investor whose primary interest is in philanthropy – in particular, not-for-profits working on sustainability and human rights.
He has extensive not-for-profit legal experience and currently serves on the boards of the Center for Reproductive Rights, the Redford Center, and Rutgers Preparatory School. Jonathan has previously served as a board member of the Humane Society of the United States, Planned Parenthood (the Los Angeles affiliate and the national PAC), the American Cinematheque, Friends of the Santa Monica Animal Shelter, and the ACLU of Southern California. He was also the outside counsel and board secretary for the Natural Resources Defense Council.
Previously, Jonathan was an entertainment, business, and tax attorney in Los Angeles and New York City, representing individuals in the film and television industries. He lives in Santa Monica, California, and Sundance, Utah.
