Climate and Forests Lawyer – Warsaw

We have an excellent opportunity for a reliable, self-motivated lawyer who thrives in a team environment to join our Climate & Forests team in Warsaw. The lawyer will be an integral part of the Climate & Forests team, contributing to the programme’s work on the implementation and enforcement of the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) – an EU law that aims to prevent illegally logged timber from the EU market, as a lever to address deforestation.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and networking skills and previous experience with EU law or lawmaking. They will have excellent written and verbal skills in Polish and English and, ideally, another Central or Eastern European language. You will have a professional and friendly manner and be able to establish good working relationships with external partners and within the Climate & Forests team, working from a distance with immediate colleagues. You will be committed to environmental issues.

Salary

Salary bracket for this role is 7,000 – 8,000 PLN gross / month depending on experience.
