Earth Day 2021

Earth Day is a global day of action: an opportunity for everyone to come together to address the climate crisis and to learn from each other. We’re fighting for a more sustainable future every day but Earth Day is an opportunity to raise awareness and to reflect on the achievements of our efforts.

Since its first year in 1970, Earth Day’s mission has been to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. One supporter of ClientEarth, Dan Whitlam has composed a poem with an important message about Earth Day 2021.

Earth Day 2021

Dan Whitlam is a South-London poet who fuses his passions of storytelling and rhyme to create highly engaging performances. He trained at Guildhall school of music and drama and since has performed with Sofar Sounds, Sky Atlantic and most recently BBC Radio 4.

We have all found a new found appreciation for the outdoors during these past lockdowns. Now it’s time to nurture that appreciation and hope it outruns the previous destruction.

– Dan Whitlam

At ClientEarth, we believe the law is the most powerful tool we have against climate change and we’ve been using it to hold governments and businesses to account to protect people and planet for over a decade.

Together with our generous supporters, we've been working tirelessly to use the power of the law to create a healthier, fairer, and greener world.

• We’ve forced BP to withdraw its greenwashing advertising
• We’ve saved Europe’s oldest forests from loggers
• We’ve forced 28 EU countries to tackle air pollution

But it doesn’t stop there. There is always more to do and this year we will continue to take action on behalf of our client – the Earth. With your support we'll continue to restore our planet, and protect everyone from the worst impacts of climate change.
