Voluntary 'deforestation free' commitments

Recent years have seen the emergence of voluntary ‘deforestation free’ commitments by private companies. As members of the public and companies become increasingly aware of the negative impacts of producing goods - it matters that companies’ words are met with actions.

If a company does not take appropriate action, however, do legal means exist to hold that company to account?
