The first seminar of the year on Access to justice will be held on January 29th in Poland, as part of the ATOJ-EARL and IVF projects. ClientEarth is organising this seminar for the lawyers working at the Ombudsman’s Office in Warsaw.
In the morning, dr Jerzy Jendrośka, an eminent Aarhus Compliance Committee’s member who drafted Aarhus related legislation in Poland, will give a presentation of the Aarhus Convention. His intervention will be followed by an overview of the recent case-law of the Court of Justice of the European Union.
The afternoon session will focus on the barriers of access to justice in the Visegrad Group (Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia) and a lecture on the relevant Polish legal provisions on the access to justice in environmental matters.
The event will take place on 29 January 2019, 9:00-15:00, in the Ombudsman Office’s conference room.
