Irmina Kotiuk joined our Brussels office in March 2019. Her work focuses on enforcing EU air quality laws via various legal actions such as litigation before national courts in EU member states and other interventions at EU and international level.


Before joining ClientEarth Irmina worked at the European Court of Human Rights as a registry lawyer. She also worked at White and Case and CMS Cameron McKenna in Warsaw as a litigation lawyer and in the Polish office of the Committee for European Integration as an EU law expert.


Irmina is a qualified lawyer in Poland since 2011 (Adwokat) and holds a law degree from the Warsaw University, an LL.M. in European Union law from the Amsterdam University and a Master 2 in Human Rights from Strasbourg University.

I feel that there is nothing more important at the moment than taking care of our planet – Mother Earth. One of the most pressing issues is air pollution, which harms human health and the environment. Air pollution has been linked to nearly half a million premature deaths in Europe every year and is associated with social injustice. I am happy to use my legal experience to contribute to ClientEarth’s work ensuring cleaner air for all.
