Irmina is a human rights lawyer and she focuses on ensuring clean and healthy air for all. Her work includes enforcement of EU air quality laws, ensuring transparency and access to information on emissions from vehicles and engaging the fundamental rights legal framework in the fight for clean and healthy air.

She co-operates with lawyers and Civil Society Organisations from Western Europe and Western Balkans supporting litigation on national and supranational level before human rights forums. She also contributes to advocacy efforts and capacity building activities of ClientEarth.

She helps to coordinate and manage cross-programmatic work on human rights issues and events.


Before joining ClientEarth Irmina worked at the European Court of Human Rights as a lawyer. She also worked at White and Case and CMS Cameron McKenna in Warsaw as a litigation lawyer and in the Polish office of the Committee for European Integration as an EU law expert.


Irmina is a qualified lawyer in Poland (adwokat). In addition to her law studies, she holds LL.M. in European Union law from Amsterdam University and Master 2 in Human Rights from Strasbourg University.

I feel that there is nothing more important at the moment than taking care of our planet – Mother Earth. One of the most pressing issues is air pollution, which harms human health and the environment. Air pollution has been linked to nearly half a million premature deaths in Europe every year and is associated with social injustice. I am happy to use my legal experience to contribute to ClientEarth’s work ensuring cleaner and healthy air for all.

Irmina is working on
