Ella Nation-Tellery joined ClientEarth in January 2017. Since undertaking a Masters in Dispute and Conflict Resolution at SOAS, she has been particularly interested in access to justice and supports the Strategic Litigation project work.

Prior to this she campaigned on issues of economic justice at the Jubilee Debt Campaign in London, and worked on programme development in a peacebuilding context for International Alert in Nepal.

I love the direct approach that ClientEarth takes using the legal system to protect the environment. With environmental issues being security and economic issues also, improving access to environmental justice is fundamental to empowering communities and citizens to hold decision makers to account and address power imbalances. It’s a privilege to be working for an organisation that works relentlessly to do this and produces such tangible (and frequent!) results.
