Senior Strategic Communications Officer
Dániel has joined the Berlin office to increase ClientEarth’s impact through strategic communications in Germany.
His main focus is on Germany’s efforts to accelerate the transition towards a zero carbon society, with special attention to the rapid phase-out of coal and gas, transforming the agricultural sector, and addressing climate change through international agreements and EU laws.
As a seasoned campaigner for green and progressive issues, Dániel has a long track record of involvement with advocacy organisations and international campaigns. Before joining ClientEarth, he advised Green Members of the European Parliament on policy and communication issues, coordinated a network of over 500 civil society organisations as campaign manager for the European initiative “Stop TTIP and CETA”, and worked as communications officer for the renowned Federation of German Consumer Associations (Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband). He’s also a founding member and chair of the advisory board of the charity Green Academy Hungary and a board member of Unconditional Basic Income Europe.
Dániel studied History and Philosophy at the University of Bonn and obtained an M.A. in Central and East European Studies from University College London. Besides his mother tongue Hungarian, he is fluent in German and English, and has basic knowledge of French, Dutch, Russian, and Swedish.
Nature has always been my love and passion. It knows no borders, so we must act globally to protect it. Engaging for this gratifying cause together with so many dedicated and experienced international colleagues at ClientEarth is a truly motivating privilege.
