Giuseppe Nastasi is a legal advisor for the Climate & forests programme in Brussels

Giuseppe Nastasi began volunteering at ClientEarth in 2010 while doing research for his dissertation examining the design of the EU Emissions Trading System. He now works as a legal advisor in the Climate & Forests programme in Brussels, focusing particularly on bioenergy.

Giuseppe graduated with honours at the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. During his degree, he studied commercial and international law at the Århus University in Denmark. He completed work experience at Füßer & Kollegen Rechtsanwälte in Leipzig, Germany, a law firm specialising in environmental and planning law. While there he co-authored a paper examining EU rules on biodiversity and the Natura2000 network, published in the environmental law journals EurUP and JEEPL.

He speaks Italian, English and is currently learning French.
