Feja joined the London office as a Law & policy analyst for the Climate & forests programme, supporting both our FLEGT-Africa and REDD Law and Policy Advocacy work.

Feja is a Senior Teaching Fellow at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London convening the International Environmental Law LLM, Law and Natural Resources LLM and Climate Change Law and Policy LLM courses. She is also in the process of completing a PhD in international environmental law at SOAS.

Feja's doctoral thesis is on International Law and Forests: Norms, Values and Actors which includes case studies specific to China. Since 2005 she has acted as a guest lecturer in environmental related law courses at SOAS, Queen Mary and Kings College University of London. She holds degrees in International and Comparative Legal Studies (MA) from SOAS, Human Ecology (MSc) and Economic History (MA Hons) both from Edinburgh University. She has acted as an independent consultant on forest law and policy issues for a number of years working particularly on International, European, Russian and Chinese projects.
