Daniela Rey is the first South-American to join the ClientEarth team.


She first began practising law in her native Chile in 2003, working at the firms Weinstein, Vermehren and Company and Jara, Del Favero and Company where she advised clients on national and international environmental law, before becoming an environmental lawyer for Chile's Sixth Region Environmental Committee.

Since moving to Europe in 2007 Daniela has worked in a broad spectrum of legal roles at Oxford University's Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, the Natural Environmental Resource Council's Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research's Environmental Governance and Law Programme.

She holds an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford's Environmental Change Institute, a post-degree diploma in National and International Environmental Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica, Santiago, and is qualified as a practising lawyer under Chilean law.
