Marta joined our Brussels team as a legal intern in September 2009. She undertook work to analyse the impact of the EU Directive on Renewable Energy in Spanish and German legislation, as well as working on a broad range of other ClientEarth programmes.

Before joining ClientEarth Marta worked with Greenpeace's European office, supporting the policy officer on climate change in the build-up to the UNFCCC summit in Copenhagen, and with the European Commissions's International Agreements and Trade Unit. She has a Masters in Energy and Environmental Law from the Catholic University of Leuven.

On completing her ClientEarth internship, Marta worked with Pew Environment Group for three months as an external legal consultant, and then became a legal advisor with Milieu Ltd, a Brussels-based environmental consultancy working with the EU institutions.
