Jackson Report does not serve environment well 18 January 2010 | Read the article This week, Lord Justice Jackson published his recommendations for reform of costs rules in UK courts. Unfortunately, his report fails to follow through on the ambitious findings of his early proposals. ClientEarth believes that, if the government were to adopt his reccommendations, public-spirited individuals and NGOS bringing environmental cases for the public good would be ill-served and would remain subject to unreasonable financial risk.
