ClientEarth calls on Mayor Johnson to retract WEZ statement

ClientEarth's CleanAir team have written to the Mayor of London Boris Johnson calling on him to publicly retract his statement asserting that the London congestion charging zone's western extension (WEZ) would definitely be removed next year. ClientEarth's activist lawyers make clear that his statement, made through his blog and other channels yesterday, could prejudice the statutory consultation he is legally obliged to undertake before a decision is made on whether to scrap the WEZ.
