Fluorinated gases (F-gases) are not something you often hear about in climate-change discussion. Plans for Europe's low-carbon future focus on limiting carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by reducing our reliance on traditional fossil fuels - and rightly so. But what about those other climate-forcers? F-gases, particularly HFCs, are forcing up global temperatures at dramatic rates and any path to a green economy would benefit greatly in the near-term if limits were placed on them.
James Thornton explains why in The Huffington Post.
