Reducing air pollution can save lives and save the Arctic. That was the message I gave to a parliamentary committee yesterday.

Today the government submitted its official report to the European Commission on levels of air pollution in the UK for 2010. It makes for pretty grim reading. The report confirms that 40 of the 43 air quality zones in the UK breached the annual limits for nitrogen dioxide. No other EU country has a higher proportion of non-compliant zones.

The 2012 Olympic Games will open in exactly two years' time.  London is set to put on a dazzling display, and just a couple of miles away from the Olympic stadium in Stratford, we’ll be cheering the action on from our office in Hackney.

ClientEarth has had a busy few days building up to our biannual board meeting. While staff from across all of our European offices  came to visit us in London, I had a great opportunity to meet everybody in person. It was also a chance for us to try capturing their work on film to help promote everything they do.

Although I have lots of experience in editing, I asked my good friend and film maker Denzil Armour-Brown if there was any chance he might be able to help us out with his skill as a cameraman. It turns out that Denzil is not only an accomplished cameraman but he also has a track record as an environmentalist himself: Here's one of his videos, which he made with Matthew Appleton.  'Afterlife' is a project that investigates the impact of electronic waste on the communities of China and India.
