Last week I was in Lee Valley YHA at a conference of wild lawyers. Not wildly angry lawyers. Not lawyers raised in the jungle. Not even lawyers who let loose at the weekend. These lawyers were exploring a radical notion that the way we frame our laws may be too anthropocentric to be of genuine use in an interdependent world system. To boot, our view of the world itself, on which the laws are ultimately based, may also need to change if we humans are to become a beneficial part of the whole Earth community.
For a great account of the weekend read here - http://ukhumanrightsblog.com/2010/09/28/warning-wild-lawyers-at-large/
