| Asking European Politicians to ensure better transparency of the EU |

December 2011 ClientEarth, alongside Access Info Europe and Greenpeace, have asked European politicians to protect the transparency of the EU on behalf of EU citizens. In a letter to MEPs, sent ahead of the European Parliament’s vote on the reform of the EU’s access to documents rules, the groups asked for support to secure and advance transparency in line with the public’s right of access to documents set out in the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU and the Charter of Fundamental Rights.
